Easter cookies!

I am currently up to my eyeballs in sugar cookies and icing.  Last night I was able to take the time to go to a woman's Bible study at our church and took the ladies some of the Easter cookies.  Here's a quick picture of some of them.  They appreciated them very much, and that made me so happy.

I apologize for the quick post, but its 5:00 and I still have a LOT of decorating to do before my parents come tomorrow! Dad is taking back some of the orders I have for people in Indy, so I need to get moving. :)  Be ready for lots of pics soon!

Hearts and Scrolls

This cake was a lot of fun to do, although I was seeing hearts and dots in my dreams! LOL  This cake had over 100 scroll hearts, which meant 400+ dots as well!  It was WASC with a raspberry filling...YUMMY!  And even better, the lady who ordered it for her mom said today that everyone loved it.  And this lady has a brother in Texas who owns 2 bakeries, so I take that as quite a compliment!!

Sorry for the bad picture, I forgot to take one until it was all boxed up.

16th Birthday

I love the opportunities that our church has brought to us.  Among the many opportunities and blessings we have received was the chance to do this cake.  It was a last minute thing but I was happy to be able to do this cake for a sweet girl in our church's youth group.  Happy Birthday, Tria, I hope you had a great day!

Easter-coming quickly!

I tried some more Easter cookies this weekend.  Some were inspired by those on cake central and I thank everyone who shares their beautiful cookies.  Here's the group...

I think these basket cookies are my favorites:

More cookies/cakes to come...Easter's only a couple weeks away!

P.S.  I've had several people ask me lately about why I don't have more pics on my blog.  They are all here, just look on the left side at the archives and click through the months/years to see more pictures!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

Well, its been a looong week or so.  Oliver has been very sick, so I havent been online much.  Here are some last-minute St. Patty's Day cookies I did tonight for Jay to take to work tomorrow.  Once I started decorating I had so many ideas I wanted to do, but no time to really do them.  There's always next year, right?!
Disco Dust added the perfect touch to the pot o'gold.

And I love the ribbon, so I had to take a picture of a couple of them packaged up and ready to go.

Hopefully I'll get lots more time to do some cookie-ing and caking with Easter coming up.  I love spring designs and colors!!

Yay!!

So no new pictures yet today (I have a cake due tomorrow so I'll have more pics soon) buuuuut I am excited about something so I had to share it.

My cupcake cookies made the "most saved list" on cake central!!!!! 10 people have added it to favorites so far!!!!

That's huge for me. I mean, there are a lot of pics on the most saved list, but still.  This is the first time I've seen a picture of mine make the list so I am pretty darn pumped.  I mean, its one thing for me to love my cookies and others to say they love them but when total strangers love them?! heck yes!!!

:-D

Finally, the end.

Finally, I got all the cookie pictures uploaded! Just in time, too, because I'm going to be making more tonight or tomorrow.

I'm continuing with pictures from cookies from last weekend.  These are the only two I made from my large Wilton cookie cutter.  I like it, but need some work on the designs...

Little Easter eggs! My favorites are the white plaid one (top left) and the white one with stitches (top row, second from right)

Big Easter eggs..love the white ones, again!

A collection of some of my favorites!

The Disco Dust collection :)

Duckies!

I love these little duckies..so darn cute.  I think the one on the top right has too many stitches for my liking, but I love the other stitched one.  I can't decide if I like it better or the same as the "plain" ones.

Blessed Cookies!

Cookies, cookies galore!!! Oh my goodness, after this weekend, I might have to consider changing the name of my blog!  On Saturday, my friend Kirsten (who is a pampered chef consultant) had an "open house" at her home.  She featured pampered chef, another lady did Mary Kay, and another had Gold Canyon Candles.  And I sold cookies! I also had pictures of all my cakes.  I didn't sell a ton of cookies, but I was pleased with the amount and Jay took a bunch of leftovers to his work today.  Plus, who doesnt love cookies...I'll give some away too!  Don't get me wrong, I love cakes, always will...but I have become obsessed with cookies as well! They have a lot of advantages that cakes don't that I enjoy also...for example, its easy to take a couple cookies to someone, versus an entire cake.  And since watching others enjoy what I make is what really drives me, thats a big plus for me!

So...are you ready? For lots of cookie pictures?  You might want to go to the bathroom first or grab a cup of coffee!

Ok, here are my favorites...beautiful cupcakes!! (I tried various swirls on top...trying to decide what looks best.)

so fun :)

Close-up of a couple with Disco Dust..absolutely beautiful!!

These flowers were some of my favorites as well.  Pam at Cookie Crazie does the most amazing stitch work on cookies. I tried my hand at them also, and L-O-V-E-D the results. (I promise I have my own ideas, but since I'm just starting the cookies, I have to try some of the awesome stuff I see others do...that's not bad, right?!)

These little umbrellas were too cute. Love the stitches too!

These little coin purses were cute..but they need some work. (Can you tell the one is an attempted zebra design??)

Some purses..my favorite is the white one with polka dots and stitching.

Pretty butterflies...although that white/pink/blue one got a little "drippy"!! :)

high heels!

Ok, and even though I have more to share...blogger or my internet is being sloooooow.  I'll be back later!
